Chaitali Chanda is an Associate in Rebar Kelly’s New York and New Jersey offices. Her practice concentration includes, inter alia, representing insurance carriers and their insureds in civil litigation cases. Prior to joining the firm, Chaitali served as an associate at a highly respected downtown Manhattan defense firm, where she represented medical professionals, hospitals, and nursing homes in both New York and New Jersey against high-exposure liability medical negligence claims and general liability matters. Her work concentrated on complex civil litigation matters, sexual abuse claims, as well as negligent hiring and supervision claims. Chaitali has extensive experience with all aspects of insurance defense litigation from inception to trial.

Chaitali also served as an agency attorney to the New York City Department of Consumer and Worker Protection. There, she oversaw the regulatory compliance of licensed third-party food delivery applications and services, such as DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, Seamless, Postmates, HungryPanda, Slice, Fantuan, Delivery.com, Cornershop, and Chowbus; and litigated hearings against general and mobile food vendors in New York City’s administrative tribunal for the agency.
