Rebar Kelly helped sponsor The Cranford, New Jersey area Promise Walk in support of Preclampsia awareness. Westfield, New Jersey mayor proclaimed May 2013, Preclampsia Awareness Month. This year’s Cranford area Promise Walk raised over $38,000, and was held on Sunday, May 19, 2003 at Oak Ridge Park (in Clark). The walk attracted participants from throughout New Jersey and surrounding states. As this year’s face of preeclampsia (a life threatening disorder of pregnancy) for the walk, Larry Bloomstein (of Brielle; formerly of Livingston) and his infant daughter shared their story and helped encourage teams around the state to meet or exceed their fundraising goal. Rebar Kelly was a sponsor of Team Steiner. The 3rd annual Cranford area walk was organized again this year by mother-daughter walk coordinator team Stephanie and Marissa Steiner (from Springfield), both preeclampsia survivors.
