Patrick W. Gallagher handles Civil Litigation Defense matters for Rebar Kelly. Prior to joining the firm, Patrick handled civil litigations involving disabled individuals, access to public accommodations, and civil rights. Patrick has also worked in the General Counsel department of District Council 37, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, where he represented the Union in many arbitrations as well as actions before administrative agencies such as the National Labor Relations Board, the New York City Office of Collective Bargaining, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Before joining DC-37, he earned a PhD in Comparative Literature at New York University, where he taught undergraduate students for several years.
Subsequent to graduation, Patrick worked for United Auto Workers Local 2110 as a representative of NYU graduate workers and other employees. While earning his JD at Brooklyn Law School, Patrick participated heavily in the law school’s clinic program, developing substantial practical experience in real estate transactions, disability and civil rights actions, and employment-related litigation.
