Winnie Ihemaguba is of counsel with the firm. Winnie has over twenty years of experience as a trial and appellate counsel. Winnie has worked representing both insurers and policyholders in a myriad of matters, involving, without limitation, premises and professional liability, as well as legal and medical malpractice. Additionally, Winnie has particular experience defending universities and other school systems.

Winnie is also an experienced insurance coverage attorney who provides practical advice and tenacious advocacy. This includes assessing insurance carrier’s obligations under various policy as well as advising policyholders regarding the scope of coverage available under their own policies, as well as policies under which they are due coverage as an additional insured. Winnie has also been involved in providing coverage overviews regarding the fine points involved in a claim from inception, for coverage opinions and advice, and/or written opinion letters and memos for insurers and insureds.

In her free time, Winnie focuses on spearheading a not-for-profit organization that provides services to women and children in transitional housing, the homeless, women in need of counseling, women who are incarcerated, and young girls at risk of various types of abuse.
