SUZANNE YURK

Suzanne is of counsel at Rebar Kelly. Suzanne has 23 years of health care litigation experience with the Office of General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). She served as a Senior Litigation Attorney for the National Complex Litigation and Investigations Division (NCLID). With first-hand government experience resolving high-stakes healthcare disputes and civil defense cases, Suzanne works closely with clients to provide counsel and to develop pragmatic litigation strategies, simplifying complex topics before a judge and jury. By developing tailored strategies to respond to her client’s unique needs, Suzanne works to find solutions in the early stages of litigation.

Prior to her work with NCLID, Suzanne served as a Regional Attorney in the Philadelphia Regional Office for HHS, where she was involved with numerous healthcare enforcement actions and successfully handled appeals before administrative law judges, the HHS Departmental Appeals Board, and in federal court. Suzanne also worked for a year as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in Los Angeles for the U.S. Department of Justice in the Central District of California, where she represented the United States Government in district court and Ninth Circuit civil litigation. Suzanne also spent a year as Senior Associate in the Health Care Practice Group at Reed Smith, LLP, where she counseled various types of health care providers regarding various state and federal regulatory matters.
