Jakyra McLeod

Jakyra S. McLeod is an Associate Attorney at Rebar Kelly whose practice focuses on representing employers and their insureds in labor and employment law matters, including pre-litigation counseling, litigation, arbitration, mediation, and internal workplace investigations. She has experience handling matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, and workplace compliance.

Jakyra is dedicated to community service and civic engagement. She is the founder of a nonprofit organization, Sessions of H.O.P.E., Inc., and received a Citation Proclamation from Legislator Laura Schaefer in recognition of her volunteerism and service on Long Island.

Jakyra earned her Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2023, where she was a Pro Bono Scholar and received a Public Service Certificate. During law school, she held leadership roles, including President and Secretary of the Christian Legal Society and Academic Chair of the Black Law Students Association.

She received her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in Politics, Economics, and Law from SUNY Old Westbury in 2019. Jakyra is admitted to practice in New York State and before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
